About Us:

Team 18030 ViperBots Leviathan is one of 10 exceptional Vandegrift High School FTC teams. Our team consists of 2 freshman, roughly 20 percent of our team, 2 sophomores, representing another 20 percent, 4 juniors, representing 40 percent, as well as 2 seniors, representing the remaining 20 percent of our team. Since 60 percent of our team are rookies, our 4 veteran FTC teammates are working consistently to lift them up and help them learn and improve in all aspects of their FTC ability.

Our team also continuously engages with our school community by participating in clubs and organizations such as National Honor Society, eSports, Game Development  Club, Rho Kappa, DECA, Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Band and Vision Dance Company, Student Council, Chess club, Data Science Club, Table Tennis Club, India club, Cricket Team,  NEHS, Debate, UIL Academics, scouting, and many more. Using this as a medium, we have each individually picked up different skills like networking, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Each of these will allow us to grow as a team as well as help our organization grow.

Team History: 

18030 ViperBots Leviathan was founded in 2019, right into the Covid 19 pandemic. We are the newest ViperBots team out of 10 very competitive FTC teams as well as a world renowned FRC program at our school. Initially, the team was largely rookies with a culmination of transfers from other ViperBots teams forming its leadership. Overtime, we have established our own distinct culture; one of easy going but skilled robot builders. We are pioneers in ViperBots, being the first to implement newer ftc designs like deadaxels and reintroduction of aluminum into our FTC program.
